MODALITIES & EXPERIENCE
My primary current influence is a modality called Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 3). I am increasingly exploring how this model integrates with somatic and expressive arts approaches.
In addition to my IFS Levels 1-3 trainings and supplementary workshops, I have trained in Emotion-Focused Therapy (Level 1), Emotion Focused Therapy for Individuals (EFIT) (Level 1 & 2), and in introductory-level webinars in Focusing-Oriented Expressive Arts (FOAT), Sensorimotor Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing. I remain engaged in continuous learning in the IFS community and beyond.

Prior to moving into private practice, I worked at the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH). There, I used various modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Mindfulness-based approaches.

In addition to working in my private practice, I occasionally co-lead psycho-educational groups with my local Family Health Team on topics including depression, anxiety, trauma, and alcohol use.

I am always deepening my skills and competence in being trauma-informed and anti-oppressive.

My lived experience is as a white, straight, able-bodied, CIS-gendered, married mother.

My practice approach is secular and evidence-based.
